Cook Family Foundation will consider grant requests to support collaborative community problem-solving among nonprofits and their partners. Potential applicants are encouraged to contact the foundation PRIOR to submitting a grant request.
- Grants can be requested for the planning/development and/or implementation of collaborative community programming
- At least one partner (the “lead” partner) should be a Capacity Building Partner (or equivalent)
- Collaborative partners must agree to participate in a “Best Practices” Planning Session to outline key components of collaboration
- Leadership
- Accountability
- Communication
- Dispute resolution
- Documentation
- Evaluation
- Collaborative initiative must be based on some documented need affecting Shiawassee County community, with measurable impact
- Regular reports must be made toward objectives
